I had a $5 gift certificate for the coffee bar in the hospital, so I thought, "I'll get a pumpkin spice latte and maybe a couple of cookies with the left over cash."

And the barista says to me, "Do you want an extra shot in that? Because it will bring your total to $4.75."

I also noticed that when you tell them, "Hold the whipped cream," they do NOT deduct that from the price of the coffee.
